The UK’s Premier Marinas has sold its yacht brokerage division to Ancasta
International Boat Sales, reports IBI magazine. The purchase was completed on March 19, 2010.

According to a statement released today, Premier’s brokerage offices at
Swanwick and Gosport will be incorporated into the Ancasta network along
with all associated used yacht and powerboat listings, and all brokerage
staff.

“Premier continues to be an ambitious company,” says Pete Bradshaw,
Premier’s managing director. “We have taken a strategic decision to focus
solely on the acquisition and operation of UK coastal marina and boatyard
businesses.

“Aside from acquisitions, we have exciting plans in place for the
forthcoming year with over £6m alone earmarked for the upgrade and
development of facilities on our existing marina sites,” he adds. “Our major
projects include the opening of a new dry stack at our Gosport Marina in
May, the rebuilding of our boatyard facilities at Chichester and our phased
plans for the total redevelopment of our Swanwick site.”

The addition of these two new offices to the Ancasta International Boat
Sales network increases the size of the network to 18 offices – 15 on
Britain’s south coast, two in the South of France and one in Palma de
Mallorca.
