Launched in 1984, this was probably the most popular of the Evasion range in Britain. She had a reasonably performance-orientated hull shape with a long fin keel, a skeg-hung rudder and a lifting keel option. She was also much lighter than the older and smaller Evasion 32. The sloop rig was large
enough to give acceptable sailing performance, particularly off the wind, while the 50hp diesel could drive through almost anything. Down below, the accommodation was remarkable with three double sleeping cabins in addition to the wheelhouse dinette, which also converted to a double. The steering position included a reasonable chart table. There was an effective galley and generous hanging locker. Well-used Evasions will be showing their age and may need some restoration work.
