The first Olympic venue to be completed for the London 2012 Games is the Portland sailing academy in Dorset.

The old Portland Harbour can now boast a new pier, a 650ft breakwater and a 820ft slipway. The new complex includes Osprey Quay a 560-berth marina which is also on schedule and will provide yachtsmen with facilities long after the Olympics have been forgotten.
