42 yachtsmen take advantage of chance to see how safety kit works
An event held by Ocean Safety and supported by YM which allowed boat owners to see how their lifesaving equipment worked was held over last weekend in Southampton.
The Ocean Safety Liferaft open weekend was a great success, with a total of 42 boat owners taking advantage of the opportunity to see their liferaft out of its box in a safe environment.
Ocean Safety’s engineers were able to open the safety equipment that was brought along, explaining to owners how it worked and advising on its use and maintenance.
For those who missed the chance to take part, there is another opportunity to see your liferaft in the flesh. A one-day event is being held in Plymouth on the 1st March, and you will need to book in advance if you are planning on bringing a liferaft – details below.
