Barton Marine are celebrating 20 years under the ownership of David Coleman this year. Coleman purchased RSJ Barton Ltd from founder Ron Barton, who established the company in 1948, pioneering the use of laminated plastics and stainless steel to produce lightweight deck hardware.

Now in its 58th year, Barton continues to research and utilise new and innovative products, materials and finishes.

‘I feel honoured that Ron Barton chose to sell the company to me and equally honoured that now in its 58th year the company remains privately owned and financed,’ said Coleman, pictured left.
