Jersey comes into line with rest of Britain
Yachts from the UK (and all those from the European Economic Area) no longer have to carry out Customs and Immigration formalities on arrival in Jersey.
The yellow ‘Q’ flag and customs declaration form will still have to be carried out by yachts with goods to declare, but for the majority of the 7,000 visiting yachts each year, this will be welcomed news.
Visiting yachts remain subject to inspection at any time however, and the numbers of checks by customs officers will not be reduced.
