Royal Cruising Club fielded 20 yachts off Cape Trafalgar
The Royal Cruising Club members have expressed surprise at the low turnout of individual yachtsmen and clubs at the bi-centennial Trafalgar Day off Cape Trafalgar.
There were 20 RCC yachts there as part of a week-long celebration and commemoration of Lord Nelson’s last and most glorious Battle of Trafalgar against the French and Spanish fleets.
The fleet formed a circle off the cape and laid a garland and a replica of the bullet that killed the admiral, on the sea. Gipsy Moth IV made a special passage from Gibraltar to Cadiz to mark the event.
