A man on a horse got stuck in 10 inch deep mud a mile offshore at Snettisham in the Wash as the tide was coming in.

Coastguards at Hunstanton, the RSPCA and the fire brigade all turned out to the rescue.

Both mount and man were suffering from shock and exhaustion.
