A 30-year-old Australian yachtsmen has been rescued from his 23ft yacht, Seacow, in mid-Atlantic.

The yacht had been knocked down four times in rough seas and so the skipper, fearing she would founder, primed his EPIRB.

Falmouth Coastguard broadcast an emergency via Inmarsat and the container ship Canmar Spirit picked him up.
