With a good proportion of the fleet now finished and signed in at the declaration barge, all that remains are for some of the smaller and slower classes to pass by Bembridge and make the home run to Cowes.

The wind progressively decreased over the course of the afternoon to a gentle 10-12 knots from the south-east, but provided for some great downwind sailing up the East Solent, and for most of the leg past the eastern side of the Island.

Our correspondents remain elusive for the moment, probably enjoying the sailing far too much. However, we will have a report from onboard Suhali, as and when we can track her down!

The official results won’t be released until the last of the fleet crosses the line, but make a note of the following link: http://www.islandsc.org.uk/rtir/results.html

We have been busy cataloguing a large archive of pictures from the Race, which will be available online in our image gallery tomorrow for you to download for free – you may even find your boat, so it’s worth checking. You will also be able to order prints if you wish. Visit http://www.ybw.com/gallery and click on Round the Island Race 2003.
