Reeds Almanac celebrates its 70th birthday
Reeds Almanac has wished itself a happy birthday with a press release celebrating its 70th year even though it no longer exists!
Reeds was bought out by Macmillan in the early 1990s. Reeds was first published in 1932 and dominated the market for the next 50 years. Such was its standing that every vessel involved in the D Day Landings of World War II had one on board.
Today Macmillan Reeds is carried aboard all RNLI craft and is used by the RYA in teaching.
