The Classic and Vintage Yacht Club of Great Britain has been founded to ensure old boats are logged on to a register so that changing owners can keep tabs on their boat’s history.

Acting secretary Tim Blackman points out: ‘None of us has, or will, own one Classic or Vintage yacht for the yacht’s life. We are caretakers of these yachts of which there is now a finite number.’
