HRH The Princess Royal attended the event at ExCel London to view the best of the British marine world and announce the RYA Yachtmaster of the Year 2014. She presented the prestigious trophy to 18-year-old George Gillingham, who has just completed his RYA Yachtmaster certificate of competence exam.

Princess Anne also stopped for a chat with Sir Ben Ainslie on the Ben Ainslie Racing stand and even had a go at injecting resin into the hull mould of the Solent Whisper.
