The organisers of the London On-Water Boat Show at St Katherine Dock have announced a new partnership with British Marine

A new partnership has been drawn up between the organisers of the London On-Water Boat Show (LOWBS) and British Marine which aims to ‘deepen the show’s ties to the UK yachting and boating industry’.

In a media release, LOWBS organisers said the move will enhance the event for exhibitors, sponsors and visitors and will ‘enable key partners, from yacht builders and brokers to equipment and service providers, to participate in shaping the development and growth of LOWBS in the future.’

The announcement comes following the cancellation of the 2019 London Boat Show earier this year due to a lack of support from the marine industry.

British Marine stressed that the signing of the London On-Water Boat Show deal demonstrated its ‘continued commitment to showcasing the industry through live events’.

Following the scrapping of the London Boat Show for 2019, a working group, headed up by British Marine President Elect Ian Cooke, was set up with representation from across the industry. This group is tasked with exploring further opportunities to represent other aspects of the sector including regional shows.

London On-Water Boat Show, which is based at St Katherine Dock in the heart of the capital,  has just become part of Informa Exhibitions, which is responsible for the Monaco Yacht Show and Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

This year’s show – its 5th – will run from 9-12 May 2019 and promises ‘yachts, boats, cars and a whole host of other luxury brands’ which can be seen both on the
water and the land.
