This long-keeled David Thomas design from the late 1960s came in two
versions. The more popular was an unusual-looking, semi-fl ush decked
sloop with six berths in two cabins. A three-cabin ketch version was
launched later. Headroom in the sloop peaked at 6ft (1.8m), but the ketch
managed 6ft 5in (2m). She had high-volume tanks for extended cruising.
The sloop had a slightly larger sail area and was undoubtedly the better
performer. After the closure of Peter Webster’s yard in the mid-1970s,
the moulds passed through several hands so build quality is variable.
