Cromarty 36
This popular deck saloon yacht looks deceptively ‘motorboaty’. Although not a sparkling performer under sail, she is quite capable of decent passage times in a decent beam wind. She was launched in the mid-eighties, and is now back in production again. With few flat surfaces or open spaces, she has a country cottage feel to her – cosy and friendly, provided you remember to duck in the right places. The large deck saloon contains a dinette and steering position. Aft of it is an owner’s suite of double cabin and heads. Forward of the doghouse is a well-equipped
and spacious galley, a large heads and, in the bows, a two-berth forecabin. Cromarties are well built and often considerably modifi ed to suit owners’ tastes, so layouts and details vary. A good all-weather cruiser, well suited to the often dismal British weather.
