The Macgregor 26 ‘powersailer’ (memorably described by a yachtsman of my acquaintance as having fallen out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down) certainly bears more than a passing resemblence to Le Ponant, the superyacht captured by Somalian pirates earlier this month.

Surely Le Ponant’s designers didn’t get their inspiration from the smaller boat’s styling?
