Yachting Monthly visit the RAI Amsterdam to METS 15, the world’s largest marine equipment trade show, to see Standard Horizon’s GX1300E Eclipse DSC
Standard Horizon’s new GX1300E Eclipse Radio is a c compact DSC VHF. Waterproof to IPX8 (1.5m submersion for 30 mins) it makes the GX1300E ideal for cockpit or pedestal mounting. It is small in size 61mm x 255mm x 150mm making the mounting possibilities numerous. The interface has also been improved from its predecessor, the GX1200E, to include large graphic icons that can easily be read without having to squint at the screen. Another improvement is the size of the screen itself. It has a RRP of £99.95 ex VAT, so hopefully it should be possible to find it in stores for around £100.
