The fourth in a row for the marine electronics company
Portsmouth based McMurdo has won its fourth consecutive Health & Safety award with RoSPA, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
Kevin Rough, Operations Manager at McMurdo said the award was welcomed especially in a year when other business issues could have ‘diverted attention’.
‘We have an infrastructure in place that promotes healthy debate, both within McMurdo itself and within the supporting hierarchy of Chemring Group, but more than that, an infrastructure where employees are not afraid, at any level of the hierarchy, to get involved, ask questions, show interest and adopt a ‘hands on’ approach to Health and Safety,’ he added.
