Sixty days - somewhere in the Atlantic?
An appeal has been launched to try to find the whereabouts of a Dutch yachtsman who has been missing at sea for over 60 days.
Sietse Hagen left Tenerife heading for the Carribean on January 15th and has not been seen since. His friends and family, as well as the Dutch sailing community, are deeply concerned about his well-being.
Mr Hagen is said to be a ‘very experienced sailor’who was skippering solo a 27ft Gib’Sea Flush Poker, called Pokerface. The boat is not fitted with Satphone or SSB radio.
She is characterised by her fixed spray hood and a black painted stern. Mr Hagen has been reported missing at the local and international authorities, but all help by keeping a lookout for his boat would be very much appreciated by his family.
If you have any information that could help finding Mr Hagen please contact The Netherlands Coastguard or your local police.
