As boffins announce worrying sea level rises because of global warming, one animal lover in the low-lying Netherlands may have the answer: he’s building an Ark.

Johan Huibers, 45, from Schagen is building the 230 ft long replica ark and plans to set sail in September.

Hubers plans to realise his faith in the Old Testament story and sailing with him will be his menagerie.
