Man held after 'callous and senseless' attack
The BBC has reported that a man has been arrested over a “callous and senseless” attack on a man at a boat yard in Kent.
The 31-year-old suffered a fractured eye socket and severe head and facial injuries following the unprovoked assault in Allington, near Maidstone.
Captured on CCTV, the attack happened when three offenders gained access to a private property.
The owner asked them to leave, but he was punched to the ground and continually kicked in the head. Kent Police said on Tuesday morning that they had made an arrest in connection with assault.
The force released CCTV footage of the incident which showed the victim having his mobile phone stolen during the attack, which police described as “callous and senseless”.
