Free safety checks and carbon monoxide alarms at a fire station near you
There’s not much worse than seeing your pride and joy go up in smoke before your eyes, but boat fires happen all too often. In an attempt to reduce incidents, Fire and Rescue Services across the UK are participating in the first ever Boat Fire Safety Week(BFSW) this week, 26 – 31 March.
The event aims to help boaters to understand the dangers presented by fire and the simple preventative actions that can reduce the risk. Boaters are advised to contact their local Fire and Rescue Service to book a check with those who are participating. Contact details are available by clicking here
It could be well worth your while; Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service are offering free advice, safety checks and fitting free smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to owners’ yachts.
