Boat Show bussing
The new features at the London Boat Show – 7-16 January 2011 – will include a Boardwalk area from which visitors can look down on some of the largest sailing boats including Oysters. Normally boats from the Oyster range have been displayed in the North Hall. This has meant that visitors who do not manage to get an appointment have been only able to stare the boats’ bottoms.
Now they will be able to look down on them from the raised platform area in the new specially-lowered floor section for boats with their masts stepped.
Coaches are being laid on to bring visitors up from the South Coast to the London Boat Show which runs from 7-16 January 2011. One of the complaints from show-goers has been that ExCel in the London Docklands is difficult to get to. And with the snow and train cancellations which dogged January’s show, National Boat Shows have underwritten the coast of the coach hire to make sure all can get there.
Coaches will call at marinas and also many town centres including Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester and Basingstoke and the price – including entry to the show – is £28.
