Two new films focus on the harbour

Two short films have been produced, aimed at highlighting the special qualities of Chichester Harbour.

The first film, Chichester Harbour – Why so Special?, looks at the qualities of the area, which is known for its tranquillity and wildlife, as well as being a centre for watersports, including yachting.

The film features short interviews with locals and footage of the harbour.

The second film focuses on the work of the Chichester Harbour Conservancy.

Through a series of interviews, the film shows how moorings are maintained, what happens at the Harbour Education Centre, how the patrol responds to emergencies and much more.

Dan Musty (pictured above with his colleague Paul Gonella), the director of the films, said: ‘Making these films was a real privilege for us.

‘We really enjoyed working in such a beautiful location and meeting so many interesting people.

‘Chichester Harbour is quite rightly an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.’

Both films can be viewed on the Conservancy website at www.conservancy.co.uk.
