HM Customs & Excise and the Metropolitan Police Service will be sharing a stand at the London Boat Show to demonstrate their joint commitment to combating drugs.

Almost 8,000 drug seizures were made by HM Customs in the year to April 1998. The total quantity of drugs seized was 86,000kg, with more than a doubling of class A seizures.

The Met. is responsible for law and order in the Capital and is working with HM Customs to focus on intelligence led activities, often using advanced technology.
