Anti-war protest includes many British ports
Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators are expected to descend on ports around the country tomorrow in a planned day of action to protest against Prime Minister Tony Blair’s support for a war against Iraq.
At Broadstairs, Kent a torchlight procession is planned; at Bristol Territorial Army base demonstrators plan a ‘die in’ by lying down; Hull, Lowestoft and Liverpool are all planning mass rallies; at Southampton protestors plan to stop the city’s traffic, in Brighton a mass bicyle rally is planned and in North Wales a vigil is being organised.
Organisers of the action are inviting protestors to ‘cast a spell on Bush and Blair’ on Halloween.
