Not enough boats entered
The East Coast Sailing Week at the Royal Northumberland Yacht Club in Blyth bay taking place from the 16th to the 19th of July could be in danger of cancellation due to an insufficient number of entrants.
The event consists of race courses for sporty classes and slower, more relaxed courses for cruising class vessels. The event is also open to all keelboats for handicap classes fast and medium.
However the event does not have enough entrants at this time to take place at all. The chairman of the ECSW, Tony Blenkinsop, said: ‘Without your participation we don’t have an event – we need your support.’
Blenkinsop said the event also needs RIB drivers and time keepers. If you can help call: Tel: 07799417400, or email: tonyblenkinsop@blueyonder.co.uk
