Ferry deckhand Adam Cowell pleaded guilty to forging documents and making a living from them, at Dover Magistrates Court.

The court heard that Cowell made two documents on his home computer which wrongly stated that he was an Efficient Deck Hand and had proficiency in survival and rescue craft.

He was sentenced to 240 hours community service.
