Intrepid eight travel from Scotland in a RIB
Pete Goss has completed his latest adventure, as part of the first team to travel from UK to the Arctic Circle in a RIB.
Round-the-world yachtsman Goss joined seven others aboard a six-metre RIB for the voyage, which included a 10-hour, 220-mile night crossing from the Shetland Islands to Norway.
The crew, led by Hugo Montgomery-Swan, then hopped up the Norwegian coast, covering 903 miles in total.
They arrived in Svolvaer in the Lofoten Islands at 2000 on Sunday.
Goss said: ‘This has been a great trip where I have learned exactly what a RIB can do when put to the test.
‘Thanks to a lovely group of people it has been extremely fun and Norway is breathtaking.
‘As we came into Svolvaer we all felt immensely proud of our achievement and I truly hope it inspires others to get out onto the water and explore.’
Montgomery-Swan promised ‘more adventures on the horizon’ for the team.
