£13 million pledged to save tea clipper
The Heritage Lottery Fund has pledged £13 million towards the restoration of the Cutty Sark.
The Cutty Sark Trust will now have to find a matching sum to ensure the ship’s future.
It has been a double whammy for Greenwich’s famous ships: last year Gipsy Moth IV was taken to Camper & Nicholsons , Gosport for restoration. Funds are still required to get her sailing again. To read the latest log onto www.yachtingmonthly.com and go to the Gipsy Moth page.
