The 6,395 tonne Maltese cargo vessel is due to be refloated this afternoon after being stranded in Whitsand Bay since the storms of two weekends ago.

Sea water will initially be pumped from the No3 hold and engineroom to get the Kodima off the bottom before she is further lightened and stabilised ready for a tow to Falmouth. An exclusion zone of 1000m exists around the vessel and oil dispersant equipment has been moved from Milford Haven to deal with any spillage.
