Help for a celebrity to get him out of there
TV presenter Michael Buerk was rescued by a lifeboat when the yacht he was sailing on got into difficulties off Lymington, Hants.
The BBC journalist was aboard a friend’s yacht, the 43ft Samphire of Poole, when her engine failed while trying to get back to her mooring in the Lymington River.
The local lifeboat was launched to tow the drifting vessel to her mooring.
Buerk , whose 999 programme recreates similar real life emergencies, was full of praise for the RNLI crew.
