A Jubilee Sailing Trust training vessel ran into trouble yesterday morning when a fire broke out in the ship’s engine room. There were 39 people onboard the tall shipTenacious, which was en route from Southampton to Milford Haven, 20 miles off the Devon Coast when the fire broke out.

Crew managed to get the fire under control, but alerted Brixham coastguard, who scrambled two Torbay lifeboats to the scene. No-one was hurt in the fire, and the training vessel later headed for port in Portland.
