The Queen will inspect the RNLI’s new inshore lifeboat, the Atlantic 85, and meet RNLI representatives including volunteer crew at a special maritime theme day at St James’s Palace on Wednesday 20 July.
The state of the art lifeboat will be the only exhibit on display in the courtyard area of St James’s Palace at the event to recognise Britain’s maritime community.
In the evening The Queen will host a reception for 500 people from the maritime sector including three RNLI representatives and Yachting Monthly editor Paul Gelder.
