Event taking place June 25 - July 2
This year’s Classic Channel Regatta will take place from June 25 to July 2, starting in Dartmouth.
The fleet will have two days of racing in Start Bay, before crossing the English Channel to Paimpol in North Brittany.
From Paimpol there will be a race around Brehat Island on June 29, before sailing on to St Peter Port the following day. The regatta ends with a race around Sark.
57 yachts have already signed up for the event, including 34 from Britain, most of whom have participated previously.
The Round Brehat Race, the Paimpol to St Peter Port Passage Race and the Round Sark Race form the new Ronde des Iles (Dance of the Islands) Challenge of the Yacht Club Classique of France.
All pre-1977 boats of whatever material are eligible to take part, as are boats built later but in the traditional spirit.
