Work has started on the RYA’s new national headquarters in Hamble. The building is scheduled for completion in spring next year when all services including the RYA’s independent charity Sailabilty will be brought under one roof.

RYA Chief Executive Rod Carr said: ‘The new building will provide the staff with a modern, well-equipped office environment that will enable the RYA to serve the needs of its members and the wider boating community effectively for years to come.’

The RYA has already started investing in new communication systems such as their web site www.rya.org.uk , which offers information and online shop, and a new phone system with national ‘local call rate’ dialling on 0845 345 0400.
