The annual sailing race between MPs and Peers looks set for October
The Annual House of Commons v Lords sailing race which takes place on the Thames has been provisionally re-scheduled for October.
The Lords graciously understood that the race – which was due to be held on July 10 – be postponed after the General Election saw many potential competitors lose their seats!
But now the House of Lords has put pressure on their Commons’ colleagues to get the race started. It is sponsored by the British Marine Industries Federation and the RYA helping to raise money to get underprivileged children on the water.
