HRH the Princess Royal visited Yachting Monthly’s cruising chute demonstration at the Tullet Prebon London Boat Show on Wednesday 12 January.

The Princess, a keen sailor (pictured bottom right), was shown a special shortened version of the demonstration, which runs in two parts throughout the show.

The demonstration accompanies the feature in YM January 2011 by John Goode about using a cruising chute as a couple or shorthanded crew.

Yachtmaster examiner John, who co-ordinated the show demonstration, talked the Princess through the exercise, which was carried out by instructors from Southern Sailing in Southampton.
