All 23 yachts participating in Yachting Monthly's Rally Portugal are now safely tucked up in Bayona
All 23 of this year’s Rally Portugal entrants have now safely made it across the Bay of Biscay to the first scheduled stopover, Bayona. Yesterday saw the last yacht to arrive – Kelly’s Eye of Hamble – nearly 24hrs later than the rest of the fleet. Although they had all left Falmouth together last Monday, the slower 38ft steel ketch reported a much smoother passage, avoiding the higher wind speeds that many of the quicker yachts experienced. The participants will now relax into a series of seven short port hops down the Portuguese coast, finishing in Lagos around 21st June
