A chemical tanker ran aground outside Lymington Harbour yesterday afternoon, but the hull has remained intact
At 3pm yesterday afternoon Attilio Evoli, a 115m chemical tanker, went aground approximately half a mile south of the entrance to Lymington Harbour, Hampshire. The ship was on route from Fawley, Southampton to Barcelona with 16 crewmembers on board. She was safely re-floated at 7pm without assistance on the following flood tide and escorted to a safe anchorage. The MCA has reported that the hull remains intact but is awaiting inspection from surveyors and a diving team.
