The owner of a luxury motor-sailing yacht is seeking a couple of ‘Borstal Boys’ who stole her 40 years ago and sailed away to Africa.

When Wild Venture was launched in April 1964 her proud owner enjoyed her just for a matter of weeks before she was stolen in France and taken away to Africa by two young thieves who hoped to charter her there.

Four decades later her new owner, retired businessman Alex Hatherall who sails her from Almeria in Spain, wants the felons to get in touch so that he can fill in the boat’s history. If you can help please call Clare Lyon on 01298 212449.
