Police release the identity of the 20 year old man who died at Southampton Boat Show last week, when he fell from a RIB and was hit by the runaway craft
Hampshire Police has released the identity of the man who died at the accident on Friday at Southampton Boat Show. He was Tristan Douglas-Johnson, 20, who worked for Kingfisher Marine.
Tristan died after three people fell out of a RIB on Friday. by Tristan was hit by the boat and, despite the quick action of on-site paramedics, he died as a result of his injuries.
Hampshire Police is continuing its investigations. National Boat Shows Ltd and all those involved are co-operating fully.
David Caddy of Kingfisher Marine acknowledged, ‘We are all deeply saddened and shocked by the news of Tristan’s sudden death. He was a well-liked and valuable colleague with a bright future ahead of him. He will be sadly missed by everyone here at Kingfisher Marine.’
Paul Streeter of National Boat Shows Ltd added, ‘On behalf of everyone involved with the Southampton Boat Show, I would like to pass on my condolences to Tristan’s family and friends.’
