Sowester Simpson-Lawrence has accepted an offer subject to contract for the sale of its business and assets as a going concern
Sowester Simpson-Lawrence has accepted an offer subject to contract for the sale of its business and assets as a going concern, administrative receiver Myles Halley revealed this morning. Details of the offer were not disclosed.
Earlier, administrators KPMG Corporate Recovery had said that they had received a significant amount of serious interest from companies exploring the possibility of acquiring the business.
The prospective purchaser of the Poole-based chandlery and marine distribution company, which went into receivership two weeks ago, has been in discussion with key suppliers whose support is required to enable the sale of the business to be successfully concluded.
Myles Halley said: “It’s hoped that this support will be forthcoming and the sale concluded shortly.”
