The boat that Steve White sailed solo non stop around the world to take 8th place in the last Vendee Globe is up for sale at £275,000.

‘For someone this boat represents a fantastic opportunity to get on to the Open 60 circuit, and it is ideally suited to the Velux 5 Oceans race Eco class, where it will do well thanks to it’s simplicity and reliability,’ said Steve. ‘I hope the next owner will get as much pleasure from the boat as I have had, she is a joy to own and sail’.

The boat has just returned to her home in Dean and Reddyhoff’s Portland Marina following a refit in Caen and is ready to go.

‘I have every intention of competing in the 2012 Vendee Globe and many of the high profile races beforehand, and to do this and achieve a podium place, we need to upgrade to a newer boat’ said Steve.
