British marine electronics company ready to serve again
British marine electronics manufacturer Stowe has been reformed and is ready to service and repair all existing Stowe instruments. The company is also releasing new instruments compatible with existing electronic systems.
The original company, based in Waterlooville, changed hands several times during the 1990s. Stowe was initially swallowed up by Robertson, then Robertson in turn by Simrad, who closed the company and puts its assets on the market.
Alan Williams, of AW Marine in Gosport, bought these assets and began servicing and repairing Stowe instruments once again. When Mr Williams died in April last year, Richard Tinley bought all the spare parts and tooling and revived the company’s name and logo.
Stowe Marine is now based in Lymington.
