As boat-owners opt to buy radios which comply with GMDSS legislation, electronics manufacturer Simrad are offering a four hour course free to the first 250 customers who buy their goods.

Customers must have bought an RD68; DSC1400; HD52 or an RS8400 DSC to get the course which is worth about 50 pounds sterling.

The training will take place at the company’s Hampshire school between April 2002 and July 2002. Contact Simrad on 01329 245100.
