The adventurous fiancés of today are no longer following tradition with a big expensive church wedding. Instead they marry John Lennon & Yoko style on the British Rock of Gibraltar, with the added twist of taking their vows at sea.

A new company organises the marriage ceremony onshore, legal paperwork, bouquet and photographer before whisking you to a 40 ft charter yacht and skipper ready for the newlyweds to set sail.

The Skippers are all R.Y.A. qualified Instructors, so the bride & groom can learn to sail during their weeks sailing honeymoon. The boat has a spare cabin for friends to join the cruise. Perhaps the best man and the maid of honour?

The sailing area is diverse with the African Mountains and deserted beaches to the South; cosmopolitan marinas and nightlife in Spain to the East; and the natural Costa la Luz and old Spanish ports to the West. All within a days sail from Gibraltar.

When the moment is right, the couple simply give the skipper their prepared vows and are married at sea. Sometimes with the buzz of dolphins jumping at the bow, other times on a gentle nightsail under the stars.
