News that the All-Party House of Commons Yacht Club member Chris Huhne has claimed and then repaid £119 for a trouser press has caused ripples across the water from his Eastleigh constituency.

In Cowes, ace yacht designer John Corby, had been told that the trouser press in question was an eponymous crease-buster.

When YM contacted Mr Corby he said: ‘Yes I’ve been told it was a Corby Trouser Press, because although my father sold the business in 1973, we still hear what’s going on.’
