Recall on Silva F10 DSC VHF radios
Two thousand DSC-VHF radios are to be recalled after a dive boat operator suffered an emergency, activated the DSC button, which then sent out an incorrect position.
The Silva F10 DSC-VHF suffers from a ‘glitch’ in a batch of software made in China. The rogue batch was manufactured between December 2003 and May 2004. It can be identified by checking the serial numbers on the unit.
140 UK chandlers have been alerted. Call 01506 406288 or check www.silva.se/vhf for details.
